Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia

Auto Industry

Hi

My name is--name removed-- Recently I have met with an accident , I hit a curb, at that time the air bags came out and the front Axle is also broken,

I towed my car to a mechanic's garage, He gave me a quote of $ 1600.00

He replaced the air bags and the Axle, now my car is running but, It shows AIR BAG light on, and the seat belts were also not fixed.

Unfortunately I paid him the complete amount.

Now the mechanic is not at all showing interest to fix the seat belts, and get rid off the Air bags light off.

What I am supposed to do now.

Can you advise me, How can I get it fixed by him, Can I take him to any small claims court.

thanks.

Yes, you could get two estimates from independent repair shops as to the cost of fixing the seat belts and extinguishing the air bag light and then send a letter with copies of these estimates to this apparently uncooperative mechanic, informing him that unless these matters are taken care of by a date certain, you will be filing your case in small claims court against him and the shop.

And, if the date comes and goes with no action, then you'll know what to do.
