Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
Bad Contractor
Hired a contractor to do some work on my residential property and paid him $6000.00 upfront. He didn't come through (did nothing whatsoever), took him to court and got a judgement against him to pay back my money with 6% interest, plus cost from that judgement date. Next, he (contractor) skipped town and moved out to California. What legal recourse do I have to recoup my money even if I have to hire a lawyer in the process. And if so, is their a lawyer in my area that I can consult.

There is a simple process to have your judgment reissued in California. Maybe I could help you find him. Michael Stone (admitted to practice law in CA and VA)
