Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
I bought a used car from dealer. I drove the car for 20 minutes and the engine light went on. I took it back to the dealer and found out it needs a catalytic converter. He told me I would have to pay to fix it because it was "as is" Do I have any recourse??

Unlikely, unless the dealer knowingly misrepresented the condition
of the catalytic converter to you and thereby in effect provably
committed what the law terms fraud in the inducement to convince
you to purchase this vehicle.
