Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
I bought a car from an individual and put less than 30 Miles on the car before the car started acting up. Upon taking it to the shop I was told that there are cracks in the head of the car causing it to lose compression. Is there any legal recourse for me or did I just get took?

The latter, very likely (assuming no fraud/misrepresention on the part of the seller).
Such private sales are normally considered "AS IS" transactions in the eyes of the law without warranty or remedy of any kind for the buyer absent provable fraud/misrepresentation on the part of the seller.
