Bought a car 4/27/2000 with extended warrenty, car broke down 6/2001 exceeded mileage on warrenty could

not get repaired by dealership where car was purchased

found out later that this car was involved in two accidents previous to date of purchase.I would like to know if I have a claim in small claims court, if so what is the statute of limitation on filing.

You don't say whether this was a new or used vehicle nor what kinds of representations were made regarding the car's condition at the time of purchase. Your description of an "extended warranty" sounds like the standard coverage which normally accompanies a previously owned vehicle, i.e.,the power train covered for a certain limited time and/or mileage.

If the dealership sold you the vehicle knowing of the two previous accidents and deliberately failed to disclose this information to you, you could sue in small claims court as you suggested.

However, you may wish to file a complaint first with the local consumer affairs agency, and they may be able to assist you in negotiating a satisfactory settlement with the dealership.
