Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
New Car
I bought a new car on 12-26-03. It is a 2003 the car had 22 miles on it. I drove it home off of the lot on Thirsday night. On Sunday morning there was a oil spot on my drive way. I called the dealership Monday morning and they advised me they did not have time to look at it today. I called their customer service 800 number and was advised to take it and leave it on the lot, which I did. I called to check on the car several times and was told it would be ready Friday Jan. 3, 2003. It was not. I called Monday Jan. 6, 2003 and was told the car was ready and went to pick it up. They gave me the keys and told me it was outside. I asked for a copy of the work order and they could not find it. Come to find out the car has not been fixed. Can I get my money back, should I hire a lawyer, I don't have a lot of money and cant waste my money if it will not do any good. Thanks.

Re: New Car
Give the dealership another opportunity to fix the car before considering more serious actions.
(What you have described is not yet a sufficient basis to demand a full refund of your purchase price of the vehicle.)
