Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
My car was damaged on the road by the negligence of construction contractor. They accepted fault and told me to provide them with estimate. After doing so, they said they would take care of the damages, no problem. However, when the check arrived it was for less than requested. If I cash this check am I accepting this as final payment or can I still pursue collecting the balance to fix the vehicle?
