Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
Car illegally towed
My car was towed from a visitors spot at an Apt Bldg where I was visiting a friend. I parked directly in front of a sign that said ''Visitor parking between 10AM to 10PM'' After I payed $100 to retrieve my car, I saw the time of tow on receipt was 9:45pm. Numerous calls to the Tow company & Apt office have not been returned. Is there any chance of recovering my money. At this point, I'm just pissed.

Re: Car illegally towed
You could bring an action in small claims court, though you should first send a letter requesting the return of the money and indicating your intent to sue if they do not refund this amount.
