Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
Car loan
I recently test drove a car from a local Honda dealership. The sticker price said 11,900 the internet price said 9980 and the business office manager wrote the contract at 9480 which i signed and put down a deposit of $2000 and financed the remainder. I received a call this morning (next business day) claiming there was an error and i need to resign at the 9980 price. Is this correct? Don't I have a binding contract at 9480 especially if the mistake was theirs?

Re: Car loan
Yes, I would say that you have a binding contract at $9480 (unless somehow the car dealer can show that there was a mistake in the transaction so fundamental that there truly could have been no requisite meeting of the minds that is normally required of parties to a contract).
