Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
Used car missing options
I recently purchased a used car, for which I was given a detailed ''accessories'' list prior to purchase. A week later, I went to fill up the gas tank, which required only 15 gallons -- the car was on E. The accessories list had included a ''additional 8 gallon tank''. I became suspicious and looked more closely at the options. It now appears that the car is also missing side curtain airbags that were on the accessories list.
I am going back to talk to the dealer and I am wondering if I am entitled to these ''advertised'' accessories or, if by driving off the lot, I am out of luck.
Thank you

Re: Used car missing options
If these particular accessories were part of your purchase agreement with the dealer, then the dealer is obligated to either supply them or compensate you for their fair market value(used not new in this case).
Your driving off of the dealership lot in no way negates this obligation if it was part of the original agreement.
