Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
New Car Purchase
Purchased a car thru local dealer (VA) car was found at dealer in NJ, all paperwork done here (VA), car was to be picked up by VA dealer & delivered. Paperwork signed w/VIN & hold put on car at dealer in NJ. 2 days later, dealer in NJ SOLD the car to someone that walked into their dealership. Don't they have a legal obligation of some sort to NOT do that? Isn't there some kind of protection for the consumer (me)? The car was SOLD - I have all the paperwork including financing. Spent practically all day at the car dealer. Now, no car. Please advise.

Re: New Car Purchase
So, make a demand for your damages(the value of your time wasted at the dealership), and, if they refuse, file your case in small claims court.
