Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
I had my car repaired recently and it cost me almost $400 for just the part alone. After a short 30 days my car broke down again due to the same problem. I was told by the mechanic that the part was faulty and ther is no manufacturer warrenty on that defective part and I will have to pay the same amount again. This seems completely wrong... Am I protected under any consumer protection acts?

I'd get another opinion on the matter from another mechanic not connected
with this particular repair shop in any manner (information likely necessary
before any further determination can be made as to whether you might
have any recourse for this situation).
