Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
Car Repairs
I recently had the engine rebuilt for my 1997 Cobra Mustang. It had a supercharger on it. The warranty was for 12 months or 12,000 miles even with the supercharger. Now after several motor problems, they insist I must take the supercharger off. I have spent over $6000.00 for these repairs and if I take the supercharger off, my car will instantly be worth about $3000 less. I have only put 250 miles on this vehicle after the overhaul and have had nothing but problems. They want me to just forget about the warranty with the supercharger included and claim it is the source of all my problems. I also had it rebuilt at their recommendation at a cost of $500.
They do not want to do any more work on my car until it is removed.

Re: Car Repairs
6,000 for motor issues and 500 for rebuild? This does not make much sense. I assume you gave written notice of breach of warranty within warranty period? You may need to file suit.
