Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
new car sales
I bought a new car, with a dent and scratch on it. the salesman did it while pulling the car out for a test drive. they gave us 1300 off the price, because of the scratch and promised to fix it. they told me to bring it on 12/30/08 to get fixed, and it was supposed to be fixed that day. well now it is 1/2/09 and they don't know when it will be done. they are closed the weekend so it will be 1/5/09 at the earliest. am i entitled to any compensation?

Re: new car sales
Compensation for what? They've already given you $1300 off the base price plus an offer to fix the dent/scratch. (And, yeah, these little repair jobs can take a little longer during the holidays, so you'll probably just have to suck it up, Bub.)
