Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
Change in vehicle contract
I purchased a vehicle on 07/07/07, and the dealership called today 07/24/07 and said that the bank is making them recontact me at a higher rate. I am not okay with this. Do I have any legal recourse? Can I refuse to sign the contact?
Can I get out of the loan? I like the car, but I don't want to have a higher rate.
What are my options??

Re: Change in vehicle contract
No, you should not have to sign a new contract for a higher rate to purchase the vehicle as long as you did not misrepresent or falsify any information on the original application. If they continue to press you on signing for this new loan, you may wish to consult an attorney to review the paperwork and to advise you, accordingly.
