Chartering a cruise ship for a convention.
I want to charter a cruise ship for a convention. I can't pay the cruise line up front. Can I create a private club, charge admission to the club, and use this money to pay for the cruise for the benefit of the club members?

Sounds like a bad idea to me with the potential for problems not only for you but for the prospective "club" members. (As a prospective member, why would I want to pay you extra money to join this "club", ostensibly, to go on a cruise, when I can find any number travel sites online which specialize in bargain cruises?)
