Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
Contract- Cell Phone
Hello, I purchased a cell phone Dec 30, 2008. I returned the phone and canceled services on the 16 of January thinking that I had 30 day trial period only to be informed that due to my phone being so basic of a model that it was a 15 day trial. I paid the disconnection fee to the phone company because my new job included an investigation that included financial checks also. Now that place/company at the mall is charging me for the canceling. I have a copy of the contract and I was wondering if someone could take a look at it. On the contract it reads as if the hardware was 15 days not the service. I feel I'm being cheated.
