Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
Dentist dropped my insurance and didn't inform me.
I have dental insurance through my work and chose a dentist about 18 months ago that was a provider who accepted my insurance. Apparently the dentist stopped accepting my insurance on May 1. I had a procedure performed in mid-June and was not informed that my insurance was no long accepted. Therefore, I now owe about 3 times as much for the work performed.
Is the dentist's office legally responsible to inform me when my insurance is no longer accepted? Is there any action I could take against the dentist office?

No and no(not one that would succeed, anyway).
