Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
I need help determing where to file my claim
Hello, I live in Prince George's County Maryland. I purchased a vehicle recently from a dealership in Virginia and paid the dealership a mandatory processing fee to register my vehicle in the state of Maryland. The dealership processed my vehicle for the title only resulting in my car not being registered. I had to take off work and register the vehicle myself. I plan to take the dealership to small claims court for services paid for but not rendered. My question is, should I file my claim in state of Maryland or in the state Virginia? Which jurisdiction would be more beneficial for me?

Virginia unless the dealership also does business in Maryland in which case you could also file in your state of residence.
