Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
Error in advertising
While shopping for a vehicle (used) online I found one of interest and contacted the Virginia dealer to inquire about its availability. I informed the dealer that the advertised price was $9,987, to which he responded that this was a misprint and that the vehicle sale price is $19,987. What obligation does the dealer have to honor the advertised price?

Re: Error in advertising
None, such advertisements are legally little more than invitations to negotiate.
