Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
I have a follow up question in regard to this issue: I paid $2,500 to Reveal MedSpa for spa treatment packages that I have not yet redeemed. Reveal sent an email saying a) was no longer in operation; b) a new company called Medalase would be operating in Reveal's former locations; 3) Medalase would honor and perform any remaining treatments I have with Reveal. However, when I called Medalase to schedule an appointment, they said that they will only honor my packages if I buy a treatment package from them for the same price. I don't have money to spend on this, and I am furious. LawGuru advised to find out whether Medalase is legally required to honor my Reveal purchases. How would I go about determining that? Also, do I have NO consumer protection in the case that Medalase isn't required to honor those purchases? Thanks again!!

Make inquiry of Reveal MedSpa in any way or method you
can to get this issue clarified, explaining what the
new company is requiring of you.
The answer must be no to your second question unless the new
company has assumed the obligations of the former in regard
to the issues which govern your claim (my opinion).
