Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
Hi,
I recently bought a "Money making program" on the Internet, for a substantial investment. ($497.00) When I received my first "Lesson", I was presented with several options for additional investment for 1x to 8x initial investment. Lowest possible investment option was $99.00/yr + $1,680.00/mo. Nothing delivered against my initial investment other than presentation of additional investment options. If I decided to accept that, my job would be to present - sell this same opportunity to others, and make substantial income. I discovered that this was actually a Pyramid scheme, because there were no products nor services involved, but it was possible only after I paid for program and received my first, and last "Lesson". I contacted vendor expressing my disappointment and asked for refund only to be presented with "Terms and Conditions" (which were accessible on different web site), according to which I had no rights, and my purchase was final, no refunds whatsoever. Filed complaint with local BBB, no answers from vendor after three weeks. Any suggestions?

BBB is nearly worthless and not consumer-friendly. BBB is friendly to businesses and not consumers. See an experienced consumer law attorney about filing suit. Good luck.
