Legal Recourse for Poor Contracting Job

I hired a ''handyman'' to do some work around my house. A number of the jobs were done poorly. Do I have any legal recourse to get my money back or force the company to do the repairs correctly?

If your claim(s) are worth less than $5000, you should be able to handle the matter yourself by suing this defaulting man who apparently was considerably less than handy--at least with respect to the job which he contracted to perform for you---in small claims court for around $40 and without the aid of an attorney.
