Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
I mistakenly bought a stolen motorcycle!
Bike checked out initially, turned out it was hot. Found out six months after purchase/trade. Called police, they took it. State Farm paid insured at time of loss and retains title currently. I am a repair shop and have over 3000.00 in repairs out of pocket in addition to the initial 20,000.00 investment. Have I any recoarse at all? If so, against who?
Police believe the party I bought the bike from knew it was stolen and have arrested him along with the original insured for insurance fraud and dealing in stolen property. More than one state is involved. My attorney is not giving me pleasant info on this, any advice would be appreciated.

Sounds like you are pursuing recourse, as you already have an attorney. I expect your attorney is pursuing every avenue of civil and criminal relief already. Good luck.
Re: I mistakenly bought a stolen motorcycle!
As you apparently have already picked up on from your attorney, your prospects for recovering something from
this mistaken motorcycle investment are not good.
Unfortunately, I'm afraid that there actually worse than that, namely, about ZERO in reality, based upon my experience with similar situations.
