Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
mortgage agent
My husband And I met with a mortgate consultant recently. Needless to say he told us we were not approved w/his company. He then proceeded to contact our real estate agent and her that he did not approve us and the reasons why! Is this legal? We are talking about my finances and credit information here! I don't think that was his job or business to pass that information on.

Re: mortgage agent
Unless you signed a release or authorization allowing this type of disclosure, it is not likely proper or ethical. Check the documents you signed. You should have been given copies of everything.
