Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia

Motorcycle purchase

My son was going to buy a motorcycle (yesterday) but now he has changed his mind. The dealer told him that he can't back out because he signed a legal contract and that he has to buy the motorcycle. A loan was applied for but no money has changed hands yet. Is there anything he can do?

Re: Motorcycle purchase

If your son is still a minor, he can dissafirm this contract with impunity since it does not involve what the law calls the "necessaries of life". If, however, he's an adult, then he should have a lawyer review this contract to determine whether the dealer has correctly assessed the legal

aspects of this transaction which according to you is now only partially complete.
