Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia

Over-charge at Funeral Home

My family, unfortunately, had to use the services of a neighborhood funeral hall for the cremation of my father-in-law. From past experience and other person's information, I have come to realize that we may have been grossly overcharged by the funeral hall for those services. Do I have any option against the funeral hall? I don't have any problem paying what I should for services, but from others and my own experience, I feel as though I was charged three times as much for the basic service. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Over-charge at Funeral Home

Do a cost comparison with other funeral homes in the area for the services that were provided, and, then if you find that the data support your suspicions, confront the funeral home with which you did business and demand an adjustment in your bill.
