Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
for my previous Question:Answer (1 of 1) Not enough information provided to reliably respond to this question
here is the details : thr contract is with invention promoter company for 1st phase of agreement that should produce a study report in exchange for $1200 paid on three payments.1st payment is already paid by me,Later when I couldn't reach the company for some questions I have, I suspectthey might be a fraud,
So my question is Do I have to still pay them according to that contract for the remaining of payments ?even with me wanting to cancel the agreement but can't reach them by anyway as they r not answering my phones or emails ?
I also found their name in similar complaints in Ripoff site with the same problem that they are not reachable ?
their name is Invention Resource International (http://inventionresource.com/ )

I would have to read the contract to see exactly what was promised on both sides. However, I suspect that not answering your questions would not be enough to cancel the contract, that is to stop paying the other payments. If in fact they don't do what they promised, then you would not have to pay the money for what they did not do. However, simply doubting if they MIGHT be a fraud is probably not enough to stop paying. If you became certain that they are a fraud, and you don't pay, then they probably will not come after you for any more payments.
