Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
Price Change
I recently ordered a stove from Home Depot for $490. When I compared the same model at other retailers it was approximately $800. The next day the price on Home Depot's web site went up to $850. Leading me to believe that the price of my order was in Home Depot's error. My credit card will only be charged once my delivery is scheduled which hasn't occurred yet. Does Home Depot have a legal obligation to honor the price of my order?

Re: Price Change
Legal obligation, not likely, but in the interest of promoting customer service, yes, they should honor that price.
