Commercial websites which do a substantial volume of business over the Internet and therefore have what the U.S. Supreme Court has termed sufficient minimum contacts with the state at issue can be sued by Virginia Internet purchasers as they could sue any other retailer with a 'bricks and mortar" store in the Commonwealth who was selling defective merchandise.
