Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia

Hi, I purchaced a breast pump online from a reputable company. I understood that they did not take refunds as to the "personal hygiene" associated with it. The pump works fine. However, no where on any of their marketing and advertising did they mention that the pump beeps constantly as it works. I can't even use it becasue it stresses me out, it is SO noisy. I had to open the box and use it to find that out, however, and now I am stuck with it. Is this a case of false advertising?

False advertising, such as what? No, sounds more like willful concealment or a failure to disclose (the beeper, of course).

Why not write the company and at least ask for a partial refund of your purchase price based upon your inability to use the device for a reason that you had no notice of until you tried it out.?
