Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
I put a $300 deposit on a vehicle at Woodbridge Public Auto Auction. I did not bid on the car through an auction. It was on the lot, and they gave me a price on it.
I signed a no refund/no transfer agreement for the deposit (my fault, I know). Can they legally according to Virginia Laws refuse me a refund on my deposit??
I read somewhere that even if a retailer has you sign a contract, if it is against the law of the State it is an invalid contract.
What is the law in VA?

Such a no refund provision in a sale contract for a vehicle would not necessarily violate Virginia law (in my opinion),but you might want to have a lawyer review it to make certain as one can reasonably be under these particular circumstances).
