Receipt/Bill of Sale
If requested, are vendors required to provide a receipt for any purchase (e.g. is a housing community required to provide receipt to the renter for each months payment, if requested)

Generally, no, unless, perhaps, it's required under a provision of the lease. (Many renters rely on photo images of cancelled checks provided to them with their monthly banking statements as their receipts for rents remitted.)
