Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
Refund from car dealership
I sent a deposit (certified ck) to a dealership in VA to hold car for me until I arrived two days later. (I live in PA) I sent deposit after salesman said car was in perfect cond. Arriving at dealer car was total opposite. I asked for 500.00 back, they said in seven days after ck clears. This was said in presence of my wife and four salesman. Seven days later they emailed and said they have no refund policy. I did not sign a contract, nor was told verbally about this. What can I do?

Re: Refund from car dealership
Sue this dealersship in small claims court on your next visit to the Commonwealth if they continue to refuse to refund your deposit after you've made formal written demand for them to do so by a certain deadline.
(Make sure the president or CEO of this dealership gets a copy of your demand letter.)
