Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
Repossessing a vehicle
I sold a car to my cousin. She paid a down payment to me and agreed to pay 36 months of equal installments due on the 10th of each month. Sixteen months have went by and she is always late. Several times over 30 days. Can I get the vehicle back due to non-payment. I always have to call oe e-mail her for payment and she thinks it's no big deal. I'm tired of her being late every month. What are my rights?

Re: Repossessing a vehicle
Sure, you could probably sue your cousin for her alleged breach of the agreement, but the court hearing the matter would unlikely be willing to award you all that you might believe that you are rightly due in this matter.
