Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
Returning a used car.
My dad is having a problem with Fall Church Auto Motor. After he signed the contract and gave them his money. My dad changed his mind because of the way he was being treated. The general manager wouldn't give him his money back. My dad left the car now the owner is saying that he will term the contract but he will not get his money back. Can they do this?

Not sure what you mean by term the contract. If you mean cancel the credit contract at the bank, and if the down payment was small, this could be a good, cheap, quick result. You should have a good consumer law attorney review the documents and the CARFAX (carfax.com), etc and see whether you might revoke acceptance under the Uniform Commercial Code or whether you have any fraud or other claims. Good luck.
