Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia

A service dept rep gave me a verbal price quote for auto repairs, based on detailed information about the problem and the type of vehicle. He, in fact, pulled up our vehicle (from past service) in their system to reference it as speaking with us. I called the following day to verify that this information was accurate, because we have a very unique. He confirmed that it was accurate. After taking the vehicle in, they give me a price of $1400 more than what they intially said. The rep acknowledged what he told me, but apologize for clicking on the wrong part when he spoke with me (twice). Are we at all protected? Please help.

No (in my opinion), if you mean to ask whether you're entitled to the erroneous price mistakenly quoted to you by the service department rep.
