Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
I sold an appliance on Craigslist and the person looked at it before purchasing. Two days later they called me and said it doesn't work, and if I don't refund their money they'll take me to court. Am I obligated to give them a refund?

Not likely, especially if you sold it "AS IS WHERE IS" (which you should always do). However if you made untrue representations and did not disclaim all warranties (as is language), you could be subject to a valid claim / suit.
