My son purchased a used vehicle "as is" with no warranty 2/12/11. He now thinks there is a transmission problem. He lives in Virginia. Does he have any recourse?

Unlikely, if he purchased the vehicle "AS IS" and the seller made no
misrepresentations as to the condition of the transmission.
