can i sue for monetary value?

i purchased a car all cash on may 12, 2007 and never received the title. now 3 months later, the dealership promised to return my money (as if doing me a favor) and ''work out a deal'' on another car to rectify the situation because they can't produce the title. after being treated horribly by their salesmen and lied to repeatedly i refused to do business with them and requested my refund which i have yet to receive (today is 8-20-07). would i be able to take legal action against them to be monetarily compensated for gas, time off work (had to repeatedly visit the dealership which is very far from where i live), emotional distress (my final visit to their dealership actually left me in tears after being there with my 2 children for more than 9 hours), and other fees i've incurred because of this ordeal?

Yes, you could file your breach of contract action in the general district court for a refund of what you paid for the vehicle or, in the alternative, the production of a valid title plus compensation for your ancillary damages occasioned by the dealer's failure to timely produce a valid title for the vehicle.
