Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
I am being sued by a Hospital for medical bills. My insurance company paid them the full amount and its shows the credit in my account. The hospital later returned some of the money back to the Insurance company as an overpayment and are now coming after me for the money. Once my insurance company makes a payment on my behalf, can they return the money to the insurance company?

Yes, if it was an alleged "overpayment"or otherwise incorrect amount
(in my opinion), although it would seem advisable for you to determine precisely
why this money was returned to the insurer(overpayment is not a sufficient explanation) and why the hospital is now pursuing you for payment of this refunded overpayment (both of which are unclear from your question).
