Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
Suing an Unlicensed Contractor
I filed a claim in general district court against a company who turned out to be unlicensed. Is there a contractor's leniency law in Virginia? Do I have a valid claim for poor workmanship?

You may have a valid claim for poor workmanship, but you will need more than the contractor's alleged unlicensure to prove your claim.
