Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
Vacation package
In 2003 I purchased a vacation package through a well known company. I paid for the first ticket and was to pay the second ticket before the traveling. It has been years and I do not want the vacation any longer I told them to close out the account and I would forfeit the $700 I paid. They said they would cancel it out but that I would still owe $700 for the second ticket although I will not be going on the cruise. Is that legal? If I want to keep it I have to pay the $700 now and I do not have the money. What can I do?

Re: Vacation package
There's no real way to reliably answer this question without reviewing the original contract which you must have signed to purchase this vacation package.
