Vehicle repossion/Mechanic Lien

I am a single woman who knows nothing about vehicle maintenance. I took my truck in to be looked at because the brake light was on. $800 later the brake light is still on. I have only paid half the bill. The other half is in savings. Can they come & take my truck without a notice to me first????????????

If the truck has already been released from the repair shop back into your possession, the shop cannot now come and legally take it back from you. (They could've, however, refused to release it to you until the entire repair bill had been paid.)
