Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
I had Verizon and disconnected them January 2010 and owe a past due balance. But for the last 5 months I have received bills from them for active service saying my ip address is still active and they say they will take care of it but still keep getting bills. What can I do to stop them from charging me?

Give Verizon written notice of your refusal to pay for any charges subsequent
to January 2010 for the reasons you've presumably already specified to them.
