Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
Warranty and Hot Tubs
I purchased a hot tub 1 3 months ago. First two years all repairs are covered by dealer. Had a problem with defective equipment once the tub was delivered called dealer took approximately 3 weeks to fix minor problem. Now I have another problem bad sensor. Called and spoke with dealer 1 week ago today. I have called 2 times on Thursday to check and see when someone would contact me to set up a repair date. Still no one can tell me anything. My concern is that once the 2 year portion of warranty has lapsed they will find things wrong with my tub that is not actually wrong. I am beginning not to trust thias company. Is there a way that I can protect myself or return the tub?

Re: Warranty and Hot Tubs
After 13 months of use, you're not going to be
able to return the tub due to minor problems
covered by the still valid warranty.
You may wish to explore purchasing an extended
warranty (do a cost-benefit analysis), and, also,
begin looking around for another company to do the servicing and repair.
