Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

I have an account that is currently in collections. For (2 1/2) years now I have made every payment to this agency on time and in the amount agreed upon. They are threatening to take the next "legal option" against me if I don't raise the payment amount. Honest to God, I don't have any more to give. What other legal action can they possibly take against me?

Probably, enforcement of the remaining amount of the judgment(if there be such against you) which remains unpaid either through a garnishment of your wages and/or levy on your bank account(s).

You should bear in mind, however, that the collection agency has no power to initiate any of the above-described actions against you unless they have first obtained a valid judgment against you from a court of proper jurisdiction for the amounts that they are seeking to collect from you.
