Can bill collectors (credit cards) still collect if my only source of income is my monthly social security check. I am 68

If it's regular old age SS retirement or SS disability payments(SSDI) and not SSI, the surprising answer may be that the collectors may be able to garnish those particular sources of SS income payments but not SSI.
