Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

Did not want to buy ad in phonebook

I have a business. I bought an ad in Sprint/Embarq yellow pages for 2,000.00. When the salesperson came in this summer I told her I had not been pleased and did not want to buy an ad. She said things had changed and I would be pleased. I told her if I bought anything it would be very small, I had to leave and she was to call me back. I told her I would not be using the same phone number but me cell. When she called I was not available. Then I get a bill for $2,000.00

for an ad in the new phonebook. When I inquired about this they told me I had to write a letter to cancel. They have harassed me constantly and I told them the salesperson did not tell me I had to write a letter to cancel. It is in the fine print but she had ample opportunity to disclose to me I needed to write a letter. Please help me.
