Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

I carry insurance on my Step Son. His grandmother took him to a dentist without permission from either of his parents or me and used his insurance card to get dental work. The courts are now taking $1000 out of my paycheck and i was not even served to come to court or notified of the garnishment in anyway.

What can I do?

Contact the clerk's office of the court(civil division) which issued the garnishment and tell them that you wish to schedule a hearing on the Summons in Garnishment matter for which you have allegedly received no proper notice.
